Our Services

Design and development of follow-up systems

Follow-up systems enable us to monitor the implementation status of policies or projects, and are useful to observe specific trends and behaviors. At Econometría we make use of an integrative approach to follow-up systems, from analysis of the value chain to the development of technological tools to support this work.

Evaluation and creation of public policies, programmes and projects

Evaluation helps us to establish whether plans and budget provisions are adhered to in the implementation and social contribution of a public policy, as well as if it achieves its goals, particularly in terms of the wellbeing of beneficiaries.

Macroeconomic and sectoral analysis

Backed up by our analysis of economic trends, at Econometría we support policies, programmes and public projects to expand productivity, create jobs, stimulate economic growth and strengthen sectors. We carry out multiple projects with companies in the private sector, providing information and analysis for better decision-making.

Projections of demand and financial analysis of public and private investment projects

In the period prior to the evaluation of an investment project carried out with public or private resources, including social programmes, a study of fundamental importance takes place which consists of an analysis of projection of demand. This makes it possible to justify future investment in demonstrating that the study is of vital importance, being interrelated to the basic objectives of the project, to the determination of its scale and to the provision of goods and services.

Climate Finance

Climate change is one of the world’s greatest threats. Colombia has pledged to reduce its emissions by 51% for 2030 and to be carbon neutral by 2050, and other Latin American countries have similarly ambitious goals. To reach them, policies and economic instruments must be designed and implemented which incentivize the private sector to innovate and invest in cleaner production as a complement to the efforts of the public sector and the international community.

Innovation

Science, technology and innovation (CTI) are fundamental for economic development and the social progress of an economy. Innovation allows scientific technique and technological know-how to be applied to the development of relevant products and services, as well as the creation of jobs. At Econometría we have evaluated the results and impacts of the most significant programmes in Colombia.

Rural development

With poor living conditions and significant gaps with urban zones, rural areas present a great challenge for Colombia. The duration of this situation makes the challenge even greater, but at the same time is an area of tremendous potential for the country to increase income and improve living conditions in an environmentally sustainable way. Opportunities exist, but capitalizing on them requires structured and systematic development.
