Who are we?

We have been engaged in a variety of contexts in the local, national and international socio-economic realm for more than 40 years. Our experience in the field, covering 21 specific areas and with more than 900 studies and evaluations to date, offers us a vast depth of knowledge and expertise which supports and informs the work we carry out.

Econometría’s greatest asset is documented knowledge, a key source of development in social and economic thought. This resource allows us to make projections on future outcomes, evaluate the present, and provide information and experience in academic, scientific and experiential settings, as such contributing to human growth and the transformation of society.

Our role is to accompany clients, whether companies or institutions, in their processes of evaluation or implementation of public policies, economic projects and proposals, in order to contribute to their own growth and development as well as that of the world around them. Our goal is to make a positive contribution to the decision-making processes of our clients and affiliates, that this may give way to economic and social transformation.

Carolina Murgueitio
General Director

Carolina Murgueitio is an Economist with a Masters in Political Science and an MBA specialized in Public Management, and has more than 26 years of experience in the field. She has had links with Econometría since 1992 and has participated as a consultant and director in more than 120 consultancies with the company.

Gelcy Diaz
Finance and Administration Manager
Gelcy Díaz is an Economist with additional studies in fiscality and International Commerce. She has worked with Econometría since 1990 as Finance and Administration Manager. During her career she has been responsible for administration and decision-making in financial management of national and international projects, and participates in the company’s corporate and strategic planning, as well as being Econometría’s deputy legal representative.
Marisol Rodríguez
Proposals Manager

Marisol Rodríguez is a Systems Engineer with a Masters in Political Science specialized in Project Management. She has worked with Econometría since June 2001, participating in various projects, and in recent years has been coordinator of tenders. Her area of interest is public policy, with emphasis on social protection and education. She has broad experience in the Colombian public purchasing system, as well as in international organizations and multilateral banking.

María Carolina Latorre
Global Business Unit Manager

María Carolina Latorre López is an Economist from the University of the Andes with a Masters in Economics from the University of the Andes and an MSc in Social Policy Research from the London School of Economics. She has more than 15 years of professional experience, holding links with Econometría since 2012 and participating in more than 40 projects for the company. Her principal areas of interest are: Evaluation of social policy, reconciliation, monitoring of programmes for vulnerable groups, macroeconomic analysis, and studies on sustainability.

Carolina Suárez
Technical Manager – Director of Projects

Carolina Suárez Hernández is a Political Scientist from the Universidad del Rosario, with a Master in Public Administration and Public Policy from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education. Since 2009 she has worked in evaluations, studies and a variety of social analysis at the Monterrey Institute of Technology, the National Department of Planning, the Colombian Institute of Family Wellbeing, and at Econometría, holding links with the company since 2013. As a consultant she has participated in projects on childhood and adolescence, armed conflict, justice, civil service, recycling, road safety, and gender, and has worked on strengthening M&E.

Margarita Moreno
Human Talent Manager

Margarita Moreno is an economist from Universidad Externado de Colombia, with a master's degree in leadership and people management from Universidad de Valencia, linked to Econometría since 2016, she has experience in the different processes that are an integral part of the human talent area, her interests are focused on the strategic issues of talent management, welfare and development.
